- A presentation of alternative design of high visibility clothing
- Date: 11-11-2011
- The International High Visibility Clothing Association (IHVCA) found numerous flaws with the prevailing EN471:2003, ANSI/ISEA 107,207, and ISO DIS 20471 standards. Published science and theory proves that the current specifications fail to show a consistency with the required minimum coefficient of retroreflection (RA) for Entrance Angles and Observation Angles in relation to the Critical Detection Distance. In above standards, more stress is focused on the need for reflective tapes than the safety and wellbeing of the end user.
A presentation of alternative design of high visibility clothing will be given in AATCC symposium held at Los Angles, California on December 7-9, 2011. IHVCA high visibility clothing standard and test method will be introduced; and your comments and suggestions are welcomed.
